Welcome To The COG
It is in our members common and best interest that each governing body may act individually or independently with other local governments that encompass our region and surroundings. The SCCOG works closely with the Code Inspections Office keeping up
records of registered contractors and their insurance information.
This information is important for all aspects of building codes. As of March 10, 2009 the COG has been approved by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation to make road signs by the process of cut out legend, symbols and borders. The
Sullivan County Council of Governments is a voluntary organization
consisting of 8 Townships, 4 Boroughs, plus the County Commissioners.
We meet the 4th Tuesday of each month to discuss local municipal issues.
We develop policies and procedures, make important decisions and act
upon the member’s findings and recommendations.
